Thottikallu Falls
ThottiKallu Falls, popularly known as TK Falls is a waterfall off the Kanakpura Road, around 35 kms from Bangalore. A left turn on Kanakapura road and the route depicted above leads to a small temple and a scenic waterfall. The rocks jutting out near the waterfalls serves as an ideal place to sit and enjoy the waterfall. A small trail to the left of the temple entrance from the tarred road leads to the waterfall. The trail involves a ten minute walk through a small grass covered land, stream crossing and few rocks. Approach route to the waterfalls involves riding on a mud and stone route(optional tar road present) surrounded by lush green surroundings which is truly refreshing. After taking the left turn from Kanakpura road travellers must take a left turn at an intersection (Local farmers are glad to help with the directions!) and on this road another left turn has to be taken before the Adrutha Rehabilitation Centre on the right side of the road. A right turn onto the mud road from this narrow village road leads to the falls. Proceeding straight on the tar road too is an option. This road leads towards the temple gates. After spending time at the waterfalls one can visit the Kaggalipura Lake which is a haven for various species of birds. The waterfalls is seasonal and is in full flow only when it has rained!
